Bloodborne Pathogens Training Requirements
Beginning July 1, 2025
All Oregon cosmetology certification holders renewing a field of practice (hair design, barbering, esthetics, nail technology, or natural hair care) on or after July 1, 2025, must complete and maintain current bloodborne pathogens (BBP) training.
BBP training may be completed through online courses or in-person sessions and is valid for one year.
During the renewal process, practitioners must attest to having current BBP training. This attestation does not require submitting documentation to HLO at the time of renewal.

Pam’s passion for the industry is evident in all she does. In addition to teaching she is still active behind the chair. A haircolor expert, (ABCH, BCH ) Certified Master Colorist, a Barber, Esthetician and Nail Technology Instructor.
Pamela has volunteered with the OHL licensing office to review policies and procedures. She has been active in the industry for 47 years.
